The first installment of Politics Is Vocal was inspired by our area's push to incorporate into the city of John's Creek (and the just-north-of-us area's push to incorporate into the city of Milton). In this installment, Thomas and I attend and comment upon the last town-hall meeting held in our area to convince people to vote for the new city.
Politics is Vocal is the place to discuss local politics in your corner of Georgia. Is your area trying to incorporate? Fighting a big-box retailer? Saving park land? Saving the arts? Saving the whales? If it's local politics and you want to podcast about it, but aren't sure you can commit to a running show, Politics is Vocal lets you get your voice out there.
Hosts: This is a group program. Anyone can post an episode.

Show notes
Today is July 17th. Tomorrow is July 18th, and that's when Georgians go to the ballot box to select candidates in primary elections. It's also when the citizens of unincorporated Fulton County have the opportunity to decide whether or not the City of John's Creek will be established. Thomas & Nikki Strickland interview Michael Bodker, Chairman of the Committee for John's Creek, and offer commentary on the impending vote.
We're about halfway through May, and NFDC is halfway through its Spring Show, Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. Take a listen as Thomas, Alyssa, and I discuss the challenges of outdoor theatre and the obvious appeal of Shakespear with Ilene Miller, who plays the Princess of France.
North Fulton Drama Club's inaugural show, Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost, opens this Friday, May 12. Seating is available at 7:30pm, and the show will begin at sunset. For more information, visit our blog.
North Fulton Drama Club's first podcast is called "Putting It Together," and focuses on the creation of the group as well as the genesis of its current production of Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost. The show is hosted by Thomas Strickland, Nikki Strickland, and Alyssa Jackson, with special guest Matt Ramsey, who will play the part of Berowne in the production. Take a listen and stay tuned to NFDC's website for more information on current and future productions.
